# Composting Projects

A few years ago, I switched as many subscriptions as possible to annual plans. Partly because they’re usually more affordable, but mainly to simplify the decision. I decide once a year and then have a clear moment to reconsider if I still want this thing when the renewal comes around.

Last week my podcast hosting platform renewal came around and I decided to archive my Note of Daring Podcast - a 20-episode creative project that came out of Seth Godin’s Podcasting Workshop I did in 2020.

[Nic Antoinette](https://nicantoinette.com/?ref=noteofdaring.com) talked a while ago about creative composting. It’s the act of intentionally clearing out the old debris of past projects, prior work, and the accumulation that builds up as we live our lives.

Not as a way to forget the past, but as a way to nourish the future.

I also think it’s important to close with intention instead of just letting a thing linger into clutter. I always planned the podcast project to be 20 episodes. I could have left it up, but I wanted to close the loop to make space for something new.

And I have an idea for another podcast project.

And also, I cannot do all the things at once, so we’ll see if and when that happens.
